Friends of the Cavendish School is a small independent charity set up to help raise money for pupils of The Cavendish School in Cambridge. The school is a specialist school for autism and aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which students can enjoy learning, achieve their potential and develop the key skills they need to thrive as independent, emotionally and socially confident young adults.
Our goal is to advance the school experience and wellbeing of the pupils at The Cavendish School by providing additonal resourses and facilities they need, that are not required to be provided by the local education authority. We are always looking for more people to join us. If you are keen to be involved in what we do, please get in touch. We'd love to see you at meetings and hear your ideas. The more the merrier!
With ever tightening budgets the need to acquire new resources and facilities, such as specialist sensory equipment and equiping a school library means that the school needs our financial support now more than ever. Any support you can give, be it time, money or both, would be very welcome and greatly appreciated. For suggestions of ways to get involved please visit our how to help page.
We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you to benefit our wonderful school and fantastic children.
