Friends of the Cavendish School is a small, passionate charity supporting the pupils of The Cavendish School in Cambridge — a specialist school dedicated to young people with autism. The school provides a safe, nurturing environment where students can discover the joy of learning, unlock their potential, and grow into confident, independent young adults.
Our mission is simple: to enhance the school experience and wellbeing of every pupil by funding additional resources and facilities that aren’t covered by the local authority. Whether it’s creating a welcoming school library or providing vital sensory equipment, we step in where budgets fall short — and we need your help to make it happen.
We’re always looking for new faces and fresh ideas! If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you can give time, share skills, or make a donation, every little bit makes a big difference. Why not come along to one of our meetings? The more, the merrier!
Right now, with budgets tighter than ever, the need for extra support is urgent. Every contribution — large or small — helps us provide the resources our students need to thrive. To find out more about how you can get involved, please visit our How to Help page.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can make a real difference to a truly amazing school and its fantastic pupils.
